Soft Plastics Labels: Deadline Passed. Are You Compliant?

Outdated REDcycle soft plastics recycling label with “Return to Store” text, now non-compliant under Australian packaging rules.

As of July 1 2025, any packaging still displaying the old REDcycle/Return to Store logo is officially non-compliant. The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) and the ACCC gave a two-year window to switch to “Check Locally” after REDcycle collapsed. That window is now closed.
